Remember when we promised we'd provide an epic list of blogs and blog resources from our blogging panel at SCBWI Poconos?
Well....here it is! And this list IS crazy!
Because there are four of us, we follow a lot of blogs, and yet we can't possibly even come close to listing them all. (Check our profiles for the complete list.) Also, my brain could only handle a certain amount of linkage before it wanted to explode.
So this isn't at all a final list and if we didn't mention your own awesome blog, please please please pimp your blog in the comments section, or pimp a friend's blog who is awesome. So be sure to check the comments for more awesome. We love finding great blogs and just couldn't possibly list them all or anywhere near that, but here's a pretty awesome list for you.

Great list! I have found some new resources to check out. I especially like the YA Blog Directory. Anyone know of a MG Blog directory? (or for that matter, it'd be awesome to get a directory for every genre)

ReplyDeleteFor the Query Critiques/Advice list: Jodi Meadows was the slush reader for an agent for a while, and she does the Query Project every Saturday. She puts her comments in-line like Query Shark. Her insights are great.

Talk about treasure troves. Book reviews, agent interviews, author interviews, announcements of readings, conferences, etc., this website/blog is chock full of great information. Sara Crowe alerted me to it at last year's Poconos retreat. It was the most helpful website as I started sending out queries last spring (even if I found my own agent through different channels).

how fantastic! i am also a first time novelist (historical fiction with touchstone, simon and schuster) and am so pleased to have found your blog! you might also want to tell aspiring writers to check out any agents they are querying on goodreads. my agent writes extensive reviews and it really can give anyone querying a good idea of her taste!
